Prof. Sergey Ponomarenko, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Dalhousie University, Halifax, NS, B3J 2X4 Canada. Sergey Ponomarenko earned his Ph.D. degree in theoretical optical physics from the University of Rochester, USA under the tutelage of Prof. Emil Wolf, a founder of classical optical coherence theory. Prior to joining Dalhousie University, Canada as a tenure-track faculty and a Canada Research Chair in 2006, Dr. Ponomarenko had held a Director’s Postdoctoral Fellowship at Los Alamos National Laboratory, USA from 2004 to 2006. In 2010, Dr. Ponomarenko was promoted to Associate Professorship and his Canada Research Chair award was renewed. In his spare time, Dr. Ponomarenko tries to understand better fundamental aspects of optical coherence theory, nonlinear statistical optics and plasmonics with his graduate students and postdocs. He also enjoys track and half-marathon running, weight training, and an occasional badminton game among other sports activities.
報(bào)告摘要:
I will start with a brief introduction to classical optical coherence theory outlining the physical interpretation of classical coherence as well as measurement procedure(s) and theoretical description of statistical light sources within the framework of second-order optical coherence theory. I will then proceed to present selected results of my group’s work on generating partially coherent light beams and pulses with nontrivial coherence properties tailored to promising applications. In particular, I will discuss dark and anti-dark diffraction free beams, optical coherence lattices, and pulses comprised of uncorrelated nonorthogonal coherent modes.

蔡陽(yáng)健, 男, 蘇州大學(xué)物理科學(xué)與技術(shù)學(xué)院教授。1977年12月出生,博士,蘇州大學(xué)物理與光電·能源學(xué)部特聘教授、博士生導(dǎo)師、國(guó)家杰出青年科學(xué)基金獲得者、全國(guó)百篇優(yōu)秀博士學(xué)位論文獲得者、德國(guó)洪堡基金獲得者。2005年畢業(yè)于浙江大學(xué)物理系,獲物理學(xué)專(zhuān)業(yè)博士學(xué)位,2006年畢業(yè)于瑞典皇家工程學(xué)院,獲電磁場(chǎng)理論專(zhuān)業(yè)博士學(xué)位。2006-2009年在德國(guó)愛(ài)爾蘭根馬普光學(xué)研究所(原愛(ài)爾蘭根馬普光學(xué)研究組)從事博士后研究,并獲德國(guó)洪堡基金。2009年加入蘇州大學(xué),被聘為特聘教授。長(zhǎng)期從事激光光場(chǎng)調(diào)控、光束傳輸、大氣光學(xué)、光學(xué)成像等研究,在國(guó)際權(quán)威刊物發(fā)表SCI收錄論文238篇,他引3000多次,獲發(fā)明專(zhuān)利授權(quán)5項(xiàng)。作為第二參與人獲教育部高等學(xué)??茖W(xué)技術(shù)獎(jiǎng)自然科學(xué)獎(jiǎng)二等獎(jiǎng)、浙江省高校優(yōu)秀科研成果獎(jiǎng)一等獎(jiǎng)、浙江省自然科學(xué)優(yōu)秀論文一等獎(jiǎng)。主持國(guó)家杰出青年科學(xué)基金、國(guó)家自然科學(xué)基金、全國(guó)百篇優(yōu)秀博士學(xué)位論文專(zhuān)項(xiàng)基金、霍英東基金、江蘇省自然科學(xué)基金等項(xiàng)目。入選“2010 年江蘇省十大青年科技之星”。曾擔(dān)任國(guó)際刊物Optics & Laser Technology 副主編 (2012-2014年)。

部分相干光束在大氣激光通信、光學(xué)成像、微粒操控、激光核聚變等領(lǐng)域具有獨(dú)特的優(yōu)勢(shì)。本報(bào)告將介紹我們課題組在部分相干光束產(chǎn)生、傳輸及應(yīng)用基礎(chǔ)方面取得的研究進(jìn)展,重點(diǎn)介紹部分相干光束產(chǎn)生、測(cè)量以及傳輸方法、大氣湍流傳輸及其在光學(xué)成像中的應(yīng)用。
